EVENT UPDATE

The V Foundation 8th Annual

“Show Your Spirit” Campaign

March 19 - 20 2009

It is that time of year again when we can all show-off our team spirit in grassroots style by pledging $5 to cancer research. Join in; pass along to family, friends, companies, schools, hospitals, sororities, fraternities and organizations!

In case you aren’t familiar with the initiative, “Show Your Spirit” is a grassroots outreach program that unites people who care about the fight against cancer. It also provides employees and our fans, an opportunity to support, The V Foundation for Cancer Research, a charity that was established in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano to address this special cause.

Team ESPN, the corporate outreach program for ESPN Inc., leads the charge with this unique opportunity to support and recognize the participant’s favorite team at work, during a two-day period in March, 19th & 20th, during college basketball “madness.”

Staffers and management can enjoy wearing their favorite team’s baseball caps, football jerseys, soccer shirts, and more, while paying tribute to the memory of a loved one who may have lost their battle to Cancer or to those who are fighting the battle.

While you are not required to participate, if you do choose to “Show Your Spirit” ® at work, please see your department ambassador for details. Also, gather your group together and take a photo of your team spirit and send it to: Shelley Hunter or call 860-766-2353 for more information.

It is a heartwarming experience which unites us by engaging the human spirit and ultimately raising money for cancer research in a very unique way.
